I started doing drawings when I was in high school. I guess they began as doodles in Algebra class. People who saw them would say they were cool. I’ve done them since back then, but I never thought to share them with anyone until I met Raquel.
Raquel was this really sweet artistic girl who also happened to be a clairvoyant. She was a healer, like me. Anyway, as fate would have it, our paths crossed and I confided in her that I did little art and wrote poetry. One day we were at a healing artist fair and I saw this guy, Joe Benham, selling his illustrations there. I was really taken by them; they pulled me in right through the center of my heart.
At the end of the healing art show, I was getting ready to say bye to Raquel when she said thanks for helping her with her show and handed me something. She gifted me one of his illustrations with an encouraging little note that said, “This is to remind you to keep doing your art!”.
So finally, here I be, keeping up with my art. Her kind act encouraged me and gave me the confidence to believe in myself.
